Notrexon's Commitment to Data Security
How Notrexon uses various to protect your Data on the Website
Notrexon takes your data security very seriously. Our Data Security Engineers have implemented multiple security measures and complex technologies to keep your data and documents safe and tamper-proof. Here is a simple analogy:
- Notrexon stores your data in a safe:The safe is located in a secure room that is only accessible to authorized Notrexon personnel. The contents of the safe are encrypted, which means that even if someone were to gain access to the safe, they would not be able to read the data. Notrexon also uses other security measures, such as cameras and motion sensors, to protect the room where the safe is located.
- How do we Keep your Data Safe?:Data Protection is the process of protecting data from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. It is important to protect data because it can contain sensitive information, such as personal data, financial data, and trade secrets.
Notrexon has Classified Its Data
Classification is the process of identifying and categorizing data based on its sensitivity and importance. This helps to ensure that the appropriate security measures are applied to each type of data.
We have classified your data into different categories based on how sensitive it is. We then store each category of data in a different place, using different security measures. This helps to ensure that the data is as safe as possible.
Some of the Categories
- Notarised documents are the documents that have been notarised by our notary service.
- ID documents are the documents that Notrexon uses to verify the identity of its users.
- Notarisation session-related data is data that is collected during a notarisation session, such as the date and time of the session, the type of notarisation performed, and the names of the notary and the user.
- Service sensitive information is information that is essential for the operation of Notrexon's services, such as login information and third-party services credentials.
- User sensitive information is information about Notrexon users, such as their names, addresses, and contact information.
Security & Encryption
Notrexon has implemented a number of security measures to protect this data, including:
- Notarised documents and ID documents are stored in separate, isolated S3 buckets. S3 is a cloud storage service/container that provides highly secure storage for data.
- For example, notarised documents and ID documents are stored in separate, isolated Cloud storage containers.
- Each cloud storage container has a 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256). AES-256 is a strong encryption algorithm that is used by governments and businesses around the world to protect sensitive data.
- Notarisation session-related data is stored in a separate database cluster. The database cluster is also encrypted with a 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard.
- There is no public access to documents. This means that only users who are authorized by Notrexon can access the notarised documents and ID documents.
- Notarisation session-related data is stored in the RDS database cluster. RDS is a cloud database service that provides highly secure and scalable storage for data.
- Database has no public access. This means that only users who are authorized by Notrexon can access the notarisation session-related data.
- Data is encrypted with 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard. This means that even if someone were to gain unauthorized access to the database, they would not be able to read the data.
- Service sensitive information (database passwords, third-party services credentials) are stored in a Secrets Vault. Secrets Manager is a cloud service that provides a secure way to store and manage secrets in the Secrets Vault.
- User sensitive information is stored in the database and uses the PBKDF2 algorithm with a SHA256 hash, a password stretching mechanism recommended by NIST. This means that even if someone were to gain unauthorized access to the database, they would not be able to easily crack the passwords.
Notrexon is committed to protecting your data, and we use a variety of strong security measures to do so.
For your peace of mind, you will have permanent, tamper-proof evidence of your notary session.
